“Atlantic 64”

ATLANTIC OCEAN CROSS BY KITESURF

Sergio Ferrero, Guiness Book of Records for Crossing the Atlantic Ocean by Windsurf, in 1982 in 24 days; 8 times Quadriathlon World Champion; World Champion Triathlon Ultradistance (57 km swim + 2700km bike + 633km run) in 1995; World Champion of Quadriathlon Ultradistance, 2003; Crossing of the Sahara by Kite, October 2004, is preparing now a new adventure: the Atlantic Ocean Cross by Kitesurf. Nobody has done it before and Ferrero wants to make by kite at the age of 64 years the same crossing he did by Windsurf in 1982: from Canary Islands to Caribbean Islands. A fast sailing boat will follow him with a photographer, a TV-team, a doctor, a computer expert, a siren and the ship’s team.

The big international diffusion on TV, radio, Internet and by the press had made that Red Bull, who sponsors Sergio Ferrero since 7 years, decided to support the adventure financially, giving him 100.000€. The other 200.000€, which are needed to cover the adventure’s budget, will be divided up between various sponsors.

It has to be considered that more than 100 million people will enter in direct contact with the adventure and the sponsors. That means that publicity costs only 0,002 Cent per person.

Please have a look at my website www.sergioferrero.com, where you can find all about my adventure and my records, and if you are interested contact me by mail prince@sergioferrero.com
